Avalanche Terrain Avoidance
This hybrid AVALANCHE TERRAIN AVOIDANCE (ATA) Course is for Western Slope members, new Trip Leaders , fulfills the 5-year renewal requirement for those Trip Leaders having taken the course previously, and for members of the General Public wishing to register.

Non Trip Leaders and non-CMC members will pay the fee at the time of registration. Western Slope Trip Leaders may register and pay the fee OR may use a scholarship code for the fee.
Trip Leaders should apply through the CMC Roder Leadership Scholarship fund.
There are no advance, on-line Course Materials for the Western Slop registrants.
Reminder: This course is required for CMC leaders who wish to lead trips in snow covered, non-avalanche terrain. It must be renewed every five years. Check your ATA badge or with Membership Services if you are not sure about your required renewal date.
