Join the Northern Colorado Chapter of the Colorado Mountain Club for an engaging evening with Andy Nelson from Colorado State University Outdoor Programs. This session will explore the critical transition from winter to spring in the Colorado mountains — how shifting weather patterns influence snowpack stability, and what that means for skiers, climbers, riders, and all mountain travelers. Learn how to recognize changing avalanche hazards, adjust travel strategies, and apply practical risk management tools to make informed decisions during this dynamic season.
