Students will practice skills learned during class on a couloir climb.

Meet at Pikes Peak Highway toll road entrance at 9am.
We will discuss carpooling in class.
We should be done with the climb by 1pm.
We will climb either the Chimney or Little Italy couloir.
Alternate climb dates will be later in April or early May.

students will earn:
Required Equipment
Climbing helmet, winter alpine-style boots, alpine crampons, ice axe, avalanche beacon, probe, shovel, snowshoes, ski poles, ten essentials (Wind & sun protection) and appropriate layered clothing for winter travel.
Lunch; snacks; warm liquid option recommended; easy to eat food.
