LIT Hike – American Mountaineering Center

The LIT hike is the last required step to becoming a CMC Trip Leader. You must lead a hike or activity with someone in the club who is already a trip leader. Coordinate with an LIT mentor to schedule your Leader In Training hike. Find an available LIT mentor here. 

Schedule your LIT hike with a CMC Trip Leader:

Please read and follow the instructions on this Leader in Training (LIT) Trip Process For Students document to schedule and complete your Leader in Training trip. 

You must choose and email a Mentor Leader to schedule and complete your training trip with. Upon completion of this step, if your Mentor Leader deems you fit to lead trips, you are officially a CMC Trip Leader. You will receive the CMC Trip Leader badge on your profile and will be able to schedule your own trips.
