TCS Single Pitch Rock Rescue - Denver - 2025

Climbing Course

TCS Single Pitch Rock Rescue

This course is designed to teach participants the foundational skills for rescue in a single-pitch environment. Course will consist of a single lecture at indoor climbing facility lasting approximately 6 hours.

The class will cover how to escape the belay and ascend the rope to pick-off an injured climber from the bottom of the climb. The class will also review lowering and hauling systems to assist a climber in top-managed areas such as the Ouray Ice Park.

Participants are expected to be graduates of ACS, Basic Self-Rescue, or have equivalent experience. This course is a prerequisite for the Multi-Pitch Rescue course.
