The Technical Climbing School’s Traditional Lead Climbing Class teaches the student how to climb a rock route by hand-placing protection from the ground up so as to prevent the roped climber from suffering injury in a leader fall. The student will also learn how to build a secure belay station and bring up the follower.
Advanced Anchors will review and expand on Fixed and Natural Anchors covered in Basic Anchors, and take a close look at using Gear Placements as part of an anchoring system.
Advanced Anchors will focus on how to build a top rope anchor with gear and we will add comments on how to make the anchor sufficient to belay a multi-pitch climbing party.
