Denver Group Leadership Committee

COMMITTEE AUTHORITY:

The Committee is chartered by the CMC Denver Group Council (DGC), as authorized in the Bylaws of the CMC Denver Group, and operates under the CMC State Bylaws, Rules and Operating Policies.

PURPOSE AND OVERVIEW:

The Denver Group Leadership Committee (also known as DGLC) carries out Denver Group responsibilities as delegated by the Denver Group Council. It was formed to provide direction and assistance to all Leaders and to help improve the tools, benefits and experiences of our current and future Leaders.

On behalf of Denver Group Council DGLC communicates, aligns efforts and works in cooperation with CMC Staff to help govern Trip Leader School, as well as with any other CMC Leader training, trip safety issues, administrative or other support as may be needed.

This Committee’s focus includes promoting efforts to increase the number and quality of Trip Leaders while managing Denver Group trip leaders with safety in mind for all Members.

This Committee is another resource working on behalf of our Leaders in order to improve their volunteering experience.

DGLC typically meets monthly. All Denver Group Members, Leaders or those interested in serving on the DGLC are welcome to attend and observe. Visitors who wish to address the committee are requested to register before the meeting by emailing dgleadershipcommittee@gmail.com and providing the chair with visitor’s written name, contact info and topic.
