Climbing Course

Basic Ice Climbing

This course will teach you the basics of ice climbing that will focus on gear and technique.

This course if for people new to ice climbing or intermediate climbers that want to increase reps to improve technique on the ice at Lake City.

Students must have some experience climbing, specifically knowing how to top rope belay and tie into a harness appropriately.

We will cover gear, technique, and demo anchors. To get good at ice climbing, you need a lot of reps and that is what we aim to offer. We will try to climb Friday afternoon, all day Saturday, and potentially Sunday morning.

Students are responsible for food, travel and lodging but we may look to share lodging/carpool.
