WFR RE-certification

  • Wilderness First Responder (WFR) can be kept current by taking:

    • 18-24 hour Wilderness First Responder Recertification (WFR-R)

    • 36-40 hour Wilderness Advanced First Aid (WAFA)

    • 72-80 hour Wilderness First Responder (WFR)

  • All Backcountry Pulse programs follow the latest internationally accepted wilderness medicine guidelines and are regularly updated to incorporate current evidence-based practices.

  • Backcountry Pulse certifications are globally recognized, with courses that meet international standards and have reciprocity with all wilderness medicine education providers.
