Hiking – Walker Ranch

We expected more ice on the trail and carried spikes but never more than a bit of it 10' at a time.  The route was in great shape.

See R/P info re suggested using Walker Ranch Loop TH vs the nearer to Golder Crescent Meadows TH

Beware also of the huge, long term construction re raising Gross Reservoir Dam 131 feet.  We had a 30 minute stop going up Hwy 72/Coal Creek Canyon. The dam project is near 72, and the TH is as close to Boulder as Golden so drive to the TH and back on 93 thru Boulder.
