Hiking – RMNP Finch Lake TH to Calypso Cascades Loop
Beautiful vistas to Long's Peak, Pagoda, Meeker and the Wild Basin Valley! Lots of waterfalls and cascades! Lastly, lots of wildflowers!

All trails and road in good condition!
We started hiking the Finch Lake TH in Wild Basin at 8am and proceeded southeast for about a mile. The trail then turned west and continued for a few miles to the Confusion Junction. We then took a connector trail to Calypso Cascades for 1.8 miles arriving for lunch! The wildflowers were abundant and showy and included blue clematis and brownie orchids! We encountered several species of orchids making for a wonderful day! The waterfalls and cascades were cool and comfortable and running fast and full! We then took the Wild Basin trail east to return to the Finch Lake TH and return home by 4:30pm. A great time was had by all in attendance!
