Hiking – Pinewood Reservoir, Ramsay-Shockey Open Space
Pinewood Reservoir and Ramsay-Shockey Open Space were very pleasant for our 5.3 mile, 574' gain hike on the west side of the lake.

No issues with accessing the trailhead
Our small group enjoyed a somewhat cooler day as we hiked 5.3 miles on the west side of Pinewood Reservoir & Ramsay-Shockey Open Space with a 574' gain. We stopped for lunch at a high point before completing our loop hike. We hiked here instead of Emerald Lake due to incoming snow and rain in RMNP.
