Hiking – Lumpy Ridge Loop - RMNP
An amazing hike, on an amazing day, with and amazing group of people. We all had a great time on this hike, getting to know each other a bit better, taking in some great views, and challenging ourselves with an 11 mile hike. Overall, couldn't be beat!

We beat the forecasted weekend snow storm, so trail conditions for the entire hike we dry with firm footing. A couple of log bridge water crossings, no problem.
The group and the views made this hike one of my favorites. We got to experience frost coating all of the trees without having to slog through snow. The group of people on this hike made it especially fun, a lot of getting to know each other and sharing stories made these 11 miles go by very quickly.
We did the loop CW, so that reserved the "fun" ascent to Gem Lake to the end of the hike. The support and camaraderie of the group made that section pretty easy, or, at least, less difficult. We found a great spot with amazing views along the Cow Creek Trail for lunch.
Overall, one could not ask for a better group of people to share an amazing hike.
