Hiking – Colorado National Monument

Eight participants hiked from the Lower Monument Canyon Trailhead on the Wedding Canyon Trail to Independence Monument. We returned to the trailhead via the Monument Canyon Trail. Everyone appeared to enjoy the hike and there were no incidents.

  • Road suitable for all vehicles

  • Trails were mostly dry.  There were a few muddy and icy spots.  Although I suggested that participants bring along microspikes, they were not needed on the hike.
