Watrous Gulch: 7 miles, 2,700 ft elevation gain
Enjoy this beautiful and somewhat steep hike beginning at the Watrous Gulch junction of the Herman Gulch Trailhead. The summit is 12,940 ft. with fabulous views of peaks all around. Best hiked in summer and fall months as this can be an avalanche prone area in winter.
Directions: Exit 218 past Georgetown up I-70 and is the same exit as Herman Gulch Trailhead.
Woods Mountain via Ruby Gulch: 8 miles, 2,600 ft elevation gain
Hike up Ruby Gulch at 10,200' to upper part of drainage at 11,400', then follow switchbacks up ridge to Woods Mtn at 12,900'. Return by same route.
