Tour d'Abyss (Mt Bierstadt, Sawtooth, Mt Evans)
This is not a fast hike; rather it is a scramble on good quality class 3 rock. See popular 14ers Mts Bierstadt and Evans from a unique vantage point; loose the crowds.
This trip takes you around Abyss Lake. Starting a few hairpin turns below Mt Evans summit, go clockwise around Abyss Lake. Scramble over the south-east ridge of Mt Bierstadt to the summit. Then follow Sawtooth Ridge across to the Evans-Spalding saddle, Finish the route by summiting Mt Evans and returning to your car.
