Sunlight Ski Area
Beautiful walk through aspen forests to the top of the ski hill in the summer. Great skiing in the winter.
Hiking:
From the ski area parking lot, walk up the service road along the Ute ski run on the west side of the area. Road leaves the ski area and connects with the winter ski trails in Babish Gulch. Follow the trail to it's return to the top of the Ute trail and then to the top of the ski hill. Follow the service road around the east perimeter of the ski area back to the parking lot. Nice views of the Crystal and Roaring Fork valleys, as well as Mount Sopris and the Elk Mountains.
Skiing:
Starting from the Sunlight Ski Area parking lot, head west on the snowmobile track. Connect with the Babish Gulch trails and follow to the top of the Ute ski run. Follow the ski run the remaining 100 feet to the top. Ski down one on the area runs.
