Approach via one of two turnouts near the Rock Cut on Trail Ridge Road in RMNP. The approach hike has about 500' in elevation gain and takes about 20 minutes. This snow couloir is usually climbed or skied by first descending the cornice at the top. One can also descend the slopes nearby and then climb the couloir.
