Royal Cascade Trail
The newly constructed Royal Cascade Trail connects Tunnel Drive to the Fremont Peak trail and Royal Gorge Park trail system located in Canon City, CO.
Fremont Peak via Royal Cascade Trail: 11 miles - 2,200 ft elevation gain
Beginning at the Tunnel Drive trailhead, hike approximately 1.5 miles to the Royal Cascade trail. Royal Cascade climbs steadily for 3.6 miles to connect with the Fremont Peak trail. Reach Fremont Peak after a short, but steep climb. There is no water and very limited shade. Trail is closed June and July for lambing season.
