Rampart Range Recreational Area

The Rampart Range is located in Douglas, El Paso, and Teller counties and is part of the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains. The Rampart Range is delineated by the South Platte River on the north and Manitou Springs and Woodland Park on the south - all within the Pike National Forest.

The Rampart Range Road runs most of the length of the recreational area from Highway 67, south to Woodland Park. The Rampart Range is heavily used by recreationalists with various destinations that include the Rampart Range Roadless area, Devils Head lookout tower, Noddle Heads, Storm Peak, and various trails and campsites - many of which are heavily used by motorized recreationalists.
