Ouray Perimeter Trail

This six-mile, 1600' gain loop trail rings the town of Ouray in the San Juan Mountains linking all of Ouray's biggest attractions including Cascade Falls, the Ouray Ice Park, and Box Canyon Falls and Park.

There are multiple access points along the trail but a good place to begin is across from the Ouray Visitors' Center on the east side of US 550.  Parking is available behind the Visitor's Center.  The official trail description is here.  Another good trail description is here.

During the winter months, the route is covered in snow and ice. Shoulder season adventures on this trail may require traction devices, such as microspikes.
