Mount Trelease
Mount Trelease is 12,477 mountain just north and east of the Loveland Ski Area and primarily accessed via Dry Gulch. The lower slopes below tree line are a popular winter backcountry ski location. The upper slopes above tree line are prone to avalanches in winter, but provide additional backcountry ski options during stable snow conditions.
Mount Trelease offers Hiking and Backcountry Skiing/Snowboarding options. There are several backcountry ski zones that wrap around the south, east and north aspects of the mountain. The mountain is typically accessed from a steep and often thinly covered skin track off Highway 6 or from Dry Gulch. The approach is only recommended for highly proficient skinners.
