Accessed from the Sandbeach Lake trailhead, a well maintained trail leads to Sandbeach Lake. From Sandbeach Lake a faint trail heads into the woods and up the slope towards Mount Orton. This includes some bushwacking, route finding, a climber's trail up a steep grassy/muddy slope and a few short scrambling sections. The scrambling section would be classified as easy class 3.
