McInnis Canyons NCA

McInnis Canyons National Conservation Area, adjacent to the Colorado Monument, and is one of BLM Colorado's most diverse desert recreation areas.

Among the NCA's unique natural resources are the more than 75,000 acres of the Black Ridge Canyons Wilderness, which includes the second-largest concentration of natural arches in North America and includes the Old Spanish Trail. Fossils have been uncovered during more than a century of excavation. Pictograph and petroglyph sites abound.
The McInnis Canyon Natural Conservation Area is operated by the BLM and has many canyon areas and access points.

Flume Canyon – 5 miles – 500 ft elevation gain.
Rabbit’s Ear Trail – 5.6 miles – 700’ elevation gain
