Long Draw Road
Long Draw Road (aka FS 156) connects Cameron Pass to Long Draw Reservoir and provides access to many summer and winter routes in the Roosevelt and Arapahoe National Forest and the northern perimeter of Rocky Mountain National Park.
The unpaved Long Draw Road leaves Colorado Hwy 14 at a point approximately 5 miles east of Cameron Pass and runs approximately 10 miles to Long Draw Reservoir and the RMNP boundary.
In the summer it is drive-able and provides access to numerous hiking and backpacking routes beginning at the Corral Creek TH; the Peterson Lake TH; Trap Lake; Long Draw Reservoir and others.
In the winter the road is closed to vehicles and can be used for backcountry nordic skiing and snowshoeing. Some areas are open to snowmobiles, but it is not generally overrun. Other areas are reserved for non-motorized recreation. When the road is closed, parking is available nearby at the Blue Lake TH or the Long Draw Winter Parking area.
