Kirby Gulch
An easy on-trail hike #793, of 2.3 miles with 356' feet of gain, which ties into the South Park trail and gives access to Bruno Gulch and a number of 13'ers.
This route enters the gulch on the west side of Geneva Road/Guanella Pass onto Park CR-1028, past the Burning Bear and Abyss trailheads. The road itself isn't so pretty but It offers entry into a pristine area where moose are often spotted and further on opportunities abound. Dispersed camping available. During the winter, a variety of off-trail snowshoe and nordic ski opportunities. One of the last places to enter Geneva Road/Guanella Pass Rd from the south side after winter road closures.
