Keystone Gulch Road
A gradual 1000' of elevation gain with a round trip mileage of 6.4 miles. The trail is on a wide road that, during the winter, Keystone ski patrol uses to service the Ruby and Santiago ski lifts.
For the last 50 yards the road/trail makes a switchback that Nordic skiers sometimes need to sidestep or use herringbone "V" angle steps. Also during the winter, there are toilets at the ski lifts, and a take-out mini restaurant. There are lots of tables and chairs outside and where participants can enjoy a packed lunch or purchase your lunch and drink.
