Horsethief Park Trail

The trail starts at the Horsethief Park Trailhead on the east side of Highway 67 next to an old railway tunnel (fenced off) and works up to a creek drainage, follows that a ways, and then turns away and uphill via a series of switchback to the top. The trail is steadily uphill, with few "flat" spots, but has plenty of areas to pull over and catch your breathe. Popular for hiking, trail running, and snowshoeing.

Driving Directions:
From Divide, Colorado drive south on Hwy 67 for 8 miles until you come to a parking area on the left (east) side of Hwy 67 (next to an old closed tunnel). Parking is along both shoulders/sides of Highway 67. WATCH FOR TRAFFIC WHEN PARKING. The trail begins on the east side of the highway - next to the old tunnel entrance
