Horseshoe Mountain

Horseshoe Mountain 13918'. Part of a cluster of Mosquito Range high peaks between Alma and Leadville, featuring a distinctive glacial cirque.

Considered one of the easier Colorado Centennials, and often explored in connection with other nearby mountains and features. Review an excellent visual route guide up to the summit here.  

There are alternate title combinations below.  The stats here reflect a straight Class 1 summit hike up the east slope from the Fourmile TH off Co Rd 18, (Fourmile Creek Rd).  The road may be closed or limited in winter.
