Guanella Pass
Scenic byway located between Georgetown and Grant, CO.
Pendleton Mountain (12,275') via Guanella Pass: 10 miles, 2,675 feet of elevation gain
This mountain rises above Silver Plume. Access is via the Guanella Pass road outside of Georgetown, and then accessing a high clearance gravel road that goes to the ruins of the Waldorf Mine. There is no established trail to this mountain and requires off trail and route finding.
Square Top Mountain (13,794') via Guanella Pass: 7 miles, 2,500 feet of elevation gain
Square Top Lakes via Guanella Pass: 4-5 miles, 1,000 feet of elevation gain
Located off Guanella Pass road, these high alpine lakes are over 12,000' elevation and a hidden gem. Trail is above treeline.
