Gold Dust Trail North

This obscure trail beginning on the north side of FR 405 near Como, Colorado was once a wagon road, now with high berms on either side and washed out in several places. Soft with pine needles it meanders through a quiet forest before making its ascent up to the Boreas Pass Road. The route is 8 miles round trip and 1,018 ft. elevation gain.

This quiet trail is a pleasant walk and ends up ascending to see some great views of Little Baldy and Mount Silverheels. The end point destination is the Boreas Pass Road  which is almost at the top of the pass. If you are inclined to hike further you can hike up the road to the pass.
