Fountain Creek Regional Park
An easy 5-mile walk along Fountain Creek and the ponds of the Fountain Creek Regional Park. Fountain Creek Regional Park is a 460-acre linear park situated along Fountain Creek between the cities of Colorado Springs and Fountain. Fountain Creek Regional Park extends along the creek just east of I-25. It includes numerous ponds and riparian areas and is an excellent location for viewing birds and other wildlife.
This is a very popular area for birding, hiking, and running, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime. You'll need to leave pups at home — dogs aren't allowed on this trail.
