Foster's Benchmark

This rarely visited peak in the Lost Creek Wilderness is on the far southeastern end of the Platte River Mountains. Reach it via a bushwhack off the Ben Tyler Trail.

Beginning at the Rock Creek trailhead of the Ben Tyler Trail (Southern trailhead) the trail ascends for about 5 miles.  From there it is off trail to Fosters Benchmark.  Great views of surrounding Lost Creek Wilderness.

For a tougher hike, start at the northern Ben Tyler TH off US-285.
