Evergreen Lake

An "Easy A" hike of about 3 miles in distance, roundtrip, with about 50 feet of overall elevation gain. This will be a pleasant hike around one of the area's most beautiful, placid lakes near the heart of Evergreen, Colorado. In certain seasons elk can be seen on the adjacent golf course.

This trail starts at the statue in front of the lodge at Evergreen Lake. The lodge is normally accessed via Highway 74 from the Evergreen exit off of I-70. Taking Highway 74 south, from I-70, takes you to Evergreen Lake where you'll make a righthand turn onto Bear Creek Road. Once on Bear Creek Road, just a few hundred feet north of the lake, you'll enter the lodge's road to drive in counterclockwise to arrive in front of the lodge.
