Elevenmile Canyon

Numerous granite rock climbing crags with Sport/Trad/Multipitch averaging 5.5 to 5.12 ranges, found along a 9-mile canyon road that borders a beautiful river, until it dead ends at the reservoir dam.

Location: Central Colorado, approximately 1-hour west from Colorado Springs. Off Highway 24, turn south onto County Road (CR) 96 in the town of Lake George, CO. In about a mile, veer right onto a gravel road to stay on CR 96. There is an entrance gate. As of 2022, there is an $8 (cash) per car fee (Interagency Senior, Access, and Military Passes are valid for 50% discount on entrance fee; State Parks Passes are not accepted), but this is not applicable if using to access the ice wall at Camp Alexander for ice climbing.

Before veering right to the entrance, there is a dirt parking area that is great meeting place, and to consolidate into cars to enter the canyon.

The first popular climbing crag starts 2 miles after the entrance gate.
