Conundrum Hot Springs Ski Tour & Overnight
An 8.5 mile ski tour with 2,500 feet of elevation gain (one way) to Conundrum Hot Springs. On this trip we will skin in, enjoy time in the hot springs, and then spend one night before packing up and skiing out.

Want to visit Conundrum Hot Springs but can't get a permit? Join this trip to ski tour to the hot springs and spend the night. You'll have the opportunity to experience this popular area with much less traffic than normal. AIARE I and experience with winter camping are required for this trip.
From the Conundrum Trailhead, the trip in is 8.5 miles with 2,500 feet of elevation gain. Be prepared for a strenuous day.
Important Notes: The trail to the hot springs from Conundrum Trailhead crosses several major avalanche paths. If there is any concern of triggering an overhead slide as noted by the avalanche forecasts leading up to the trip, the trip will be canceled.
We will also start early in the morning to avoid any avalanche problems due to warming. You will be encouraged to spend the night before the trip close to the TH so that we can leave at an appropriate time. AIARE I is required to join this trip.
Finally, the trail crosses three streams. Due to late season snowmelt, this may make them uncrossable.
A flexible mindset and good communication skills are required for this trip. Decisions about whether to continue or turn around will be made as a group, and if even one person in the group feels unsafe, we will turn around. If you cannot set your personal agenda aside in the name of safety, or have trouble listening to others even when you disagree with them, do not sign up for this trip.
