Clear Creek Trail
Clear Creek Trail is a heavily trafficked trail near Golden. The trail is considered "easy" and offers a number of activity options and is best used from March until October but is generally accessible year-round.
Start in front of the Golden Visitors Center at the large golden-colored bell in front of the center. Parking is generally available at the Golden Visitors Center's parking lot at 10th and Washington in downtown Golden, Colorado (1010 Washington Avenue, Golden, 80401).
The trail primarily follows Clear Creek in Jefferson County, Colorado. The trail gradually climbs from east to west, following the creek. As it passes through Golden, Wheat Ridge, Arvada, the greenbelt provides solitude and peacefulness in the urban setting.
Clear Creek Trail to Ralston Creek Trail Loop: 25 miles, 700 feet of elevation gain
This ride starts at Albert E. Anderson Park (4355 Field Street, Wheat Ridge, CO) and follows the Clear Creek Trail east, the Ralston Creek Trail west, the Blunn Trail south, the Van Bibber Creek Trail west, Easley Road south, a short bike path along the north side of West 44th Avenue west, and the Clear Creek Trail east returning to Albert E. Anderson Park.
To get to the ride start from I-70 take Kipling St. south to W 44th Ave., take W 44th Ave. east to Field Street, then take Field Street south to the parking lot at the end of the road.
