Pikes Peak Loop - Black Forest
This is an easy, 5-mile loop hike with 500-ft elevation loss/gain in the open space around the Cathedral Pines community in Black Forest, north of Colorado Springs.
This 5-mile loop trail winds around a community in its open space, and travels through pine forest and open spaces. Opportunities for glimpses of Pikes Peak, deer, wildflowers, and small animals. The trail rambles around in a loose square - with a .25 trail from the parking lot to and from the loop.
