Browns Creek Trailhead
This trailhead five miles west of Hwy 285, between Buena Vista and Salida, is a gateway to Colorado Trail Segment 14 and therefore to a network of other trails and mountains in the Sawatch Range.
Immediate access to Browns Creek Trail (USFS #1429) and Little Browns Creek Trail (USFS #1430) via Wagon Loop Trail (#1427 ), both of which end at and lead into an extensive Chaffee County dirt road system. Browns Creek Falls is reached via Browns Creek Trail.
Nearby 14'ers include Mt Antero, Mt Shavano, and Tabeguache Peak. There also are a number of 13'ers.
