The Colorado Trail - Segment 6 trip is a beautiful 31.6 mile hike (one way) with an elevation gain of about 5,382 ft. It starts at the Kenosha Pass West TH, has beautiful views of South Park, travels over the continental divide at Georgia Pass, and ends in Breckenridge at the Gold Hill TH.

This is a version of the classic Comanche Venables Loop to include the descent to west side of range in a figure-eight. This difficult trip goes over two passes and the Phantom Terrace in the Sangre de Cristo Range with alpine lakes, aspens, and incredible views of the Sangre de Cristo Range including short side trip to Venable Falls. Total mileage will be 19.3 with about 6000 of gain.
This is a difficult trip to two beautiful lakes in the Sangre de Cristo Wilderness in San Isabel National Forest. Visit Venable Falls and reach the crest of the Sangre de Cristos at Comanche Pass and hike a scenic traverse on the Phantom Terrace. The loop is 12.5 miles and 4,300 feet elevation gain.
This is a difficult loop trip in the Mount Zirkel Wilderness area to a beautiful subalpine basin and tundra walk along Continental Divide and descent through spectacular Red Canyon where Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep range. Total distance is 16.2 miles with 3,800 feet elevation gain with second day almost entirely above tree line.
Beautiful, 3-day, out and back hike to a lovely lake in the Maroon Bells/Snowmass wilderness with good fishing, great wildflowers and possibly a day hike to any of several nearby scenic passes. 10 miles, 1,800ft elevation gain, high point is 11,500ft.
The Crag Crest Trail on Grand Mesa includes a narrow ridge (NOT for the faint hearted!) with dramatic views of the rainbow-colored Book & Roan Cliffs. The second half of this moderate 12-mile loop goes up and down through meadows and forest.

This is a difficult loop trip in the Snowy Range in southeast Wyoming and makes a large loop around Browns Peak and over Medicine Bow Peak with overnight stops at Deep Lake and Heart Lake. Total distance 22.0 miles and 3,650 feet elevation gain.
Enjoy the beautiful Flat Tops Wilderness area with this moderate loop backpacking trip to your choice of higher unnamed lakes or the more popular Deer Lake, all locations just at tree line. The difficult trip is 12.6 miles out and back with 1,900 feet elevation gain.
This out and back includes an off-trail hike to Eccles Peak and Buffalo Mountain in the Eagles Nest Wilderness. While the miles are not great, you gain 4600 feet over the course of the trip.
Trip is in north end of Eagles Nest Wilderness and takes Elliott’s Ridge, with optional side excursion to Meridian Peak, and then connecting with the Gore Range trail for camping at nice unnamed lakes. Next day continues Upper Cataract Lake with camping at Eaglesmere Lakes. Final day completes the loop back to trailhead along the Gore Range trail and North Fork Elliott Creek Trail. Loop is 20.5 miles and 4,100 vertical feet.

This is a stunning loop through the Holy Cross Wilderness with jaw dropping views, bridged crossings over surging creeks, waterfalls, and serene alpine lakes. The terrain is generally moderate, but with two steep passes to climb and descend. Our highest point will be Fancy Pass (12,360') with exceptional views of the Sawatch Range. This hike is counter-clockwise loop from the Missouri Lake/ Fancy Pass Trail Head, camping at Fancy Lake and then Missouri Lakes with opportunities for fishing. Excellent access to water at each lake and via streams on route.
Enjoy the wildflowers and moose on this easy hike to Fishhook Lake (or slightly farther Lost Lake) starting from scenic Rabbit Ears Pass/Dumont Lake area with the option to climb Rabbit Ears Peak on the last day. This is a 3-day Out and Back with 9.8 miles and 1300ft elevation gain.
This very beautiful 17.3 mile loop trip circles Wetterhorn and Matterhorn Peaks in the Uncompahgre Wilderness. With 6,400 vertical feet of climb over five high passes it is considered difficult, but with endless views of the San Juans it is worth the pain.

Traverse two glacial valleys and climb over three passes, including Fall Creek Pass, which Fielder calls one of the most beautiful in Colorado. Visit spectacular lakes, and the Holy Cross City ghost town. This is a difficult, 3-day Shuttle with 27 miles and 5050ft elevation gain.
