3-Day: Abyss Lake Trail from Abyss Lake TH
Easy 3-day out and back backpack trip (5.5 miles / 730 ft.) along Scott Gomer Creek in the Mount Blue Sky (formerly Mount Evans) Wilderness with day hiking options on the second day.
Suggested Backpacking Section (BPX) itinerary for 3-day trip to be used for CMC trips led by BPX leaders for BPX members:
Day 1: Starting at the Abyss Lake Trailhead hike along the Abyss Lake Trail (602) for 2.75 miles, and then set up camp at a large flat campsite near water. Hike with lighter pack on Abyss Lake Trail (602) and/or Rosalie Trail (603) (2.75 miles / +733 ft.).
Day 2: Explore the additional close by trails such as Rosalie Trail (603) and Threemile Trail (635) with just your light pack.
Day 3: Break camp and hike out.
