BPX 2-Day: Reflection Canyon from Reflection Canyon TH (Utah)
A backpack to an overlook of Reflection Canyon (7.6 miles, +750 / -1,148 ft.). Reflection Canyon comprises a beautiful series of switchbacks in a tributary of Lake Powell (formerly Colorado River).
The goal of this hike is a dry camp at an overlook of Reflection Canyon, a beautiful series of switchbacks in a tributary of Lake Powell (formerly Colorado River). This view is best in the spring when water level is low – at higher levels the lower lying canyon walls are inundated and there’s less to see. It’s also a good time to make this hike as temperatures and visitation are lower than in summer or late spring.
