Snow Climb – Quandary Peak - South Gully aka Cristo Couloir

Participants MUST have previous snow climbing experience, including experience with self-arrest, ice axe and crampon use, and avalanche training. Knowledge and training in use of beacon, probe, and shovel are expected.

Update 04/20/25: Blue Lakes TH is likely inaccessible, meaning we will need to boot up the road from Quandary TH. This will add 2miles each way. Accordingly, I propose moving up our start time to 0500.

We will adjust the plan based on monitoring the snow forecast and avi risk this next week. Backup plan is a standard snowshoe up the East Ridge, which is 6.75 mi and 3,450' gain.
