Advanced slab scramble close to Fort Collins
This is a scramble up a 4th/low-5th class route up Greyrock mountain in the Poudre Canyon. The crux of the scramble is a low 5th class slab similar in flavor to what's in Boulder's Flatirons, so, different from your typical alpine scramble. It helps if you are a rock climber.
After we summit Greyrock, we'll have a leisurely lunch; we'll then descend via standard hiking routes.
This scramble is open to folks who have completed the Flatirons Scrambling Course or have done similar scrambles.
We may use a rope on the 5th class, though you are welcome to scramble it as well if you think your skills are on par.
