This will be an overnight sport climbing trip to Beehive Buttress near Vedauwoo in Wyoming. The trip will involve rock climbing and overnight (car) camping on USFS land near Forest Road 705J.
Participants are expected to be comfortable climbing single-pitch rock at the 5.6 or higher grade. Route difficulty is not anticipated to exceed 5.10(a/b).
Required Equipment
Participants should bring climbing and overnight camping gear including harness, climbing shoes, helmet, tent, sleeping bag, and any other food/water/equipment needed to overnight camp and climb Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning.
Trip leaders will additionally bring rope, sport climbing anchors, quickdraws, and are expected to lead most of the sport routes to set a top rope.
