Rock Climb – Shelf Road

We will meet in Colorado Springs and carpool down to Shelf Road leaving around 800am and returning in the late afternoon.  The drive down is just over an hour.  The area host hundreds of limestone sport climbs.  Bring your lunch and any snacks (including drinks) you may need in addition to your climbing gear.

This is not a class and all participants should have the knowledge, either through a CMC class or personal experience, to safely complete these activities.

Thursday night climbing is moving to Fridays this year to allow for more flexibility in the types and length of climbs. Initially, we will have the first 3-4 climbs in Colorado Springs area. We will move to more regional venues like Turkey Rock, Shelf Road, and other climbs. Lastly, we will be doing full day multi pitch to destination climbing areas. We will do fairly easy multi pitch climbs in the 5.6-5.9 range and likely hit the classics. Those who have participated throughout the year will be given priority for multi pitch climbs.
