Rock Climb – Red Rock Canyon Open Space

Meet at the (climber's) parking lot, North of the park -- farthest East parking lot accessed from Ridge Rd off Hwy 24 at 9am.  This is precipitation-weather dependent, and subject to be cancelled or moved depending on weather...  But, if sun is out and rock is dry, it'll probably go.  We will hike in together and chase the sun...  If there are numerous crowds at the crags, we will venture deeper into the area, with possible scree hiking (round-trip) approx 4 miles. 

Must have: CMC's Intermediate Rock Climbing Badge or higher (please contact leader if you climb and do not already have this badge -- subject availability, and leader approves a limited number of newcomers).  Must have basic knowledge of safe top-rope belay skills; but leading/cleaning/advance rock skills are always welcomed.  Come out and climb as hard or as easy as you like (or we can find available).  Most climbs in this canyon are locally considered as: clean by rappel; however, there are now some availability of mussies (clean by lower) available (thanks to the tireless efforts of our local PPCA); and we will honor whatever you feel safest using, if needed.
