Single pitch sport climbing at The Canal Zone. There is a high concentration of bolted sport routes graded 5.8-5.10. There are also a couple 5.11s that are very high quality including the classic "Walking With a Ghost" EDIT - CHANGED VENUE TO THE DOG HOUSE LAST MINUTE

Meet at 12:30pm at Clear Creek Canyon Park Tunnel 1 Trailhead (39.749657, -105.250632)

Short well-maintained approach to crag ~15 minutes

We will climb until  ~4-5pm

Bringing your headlamp is a good idea

If you want to carpool, please let me know, can meet at CMC

Weather forecast is warm and sunny in the 50s

You must be knowledgeable in knot tying, anchor cleaning, belaying, and lead belaying.

Lead climbing is not required, but you can if you have the experience. Feel free to come and top rope only. I am more than happy to lead up anything at this crag to set a top rope.

The routes at Canal Zone offer good beginner sport leads in the 5.8-5.10 range.
