This is an easy-moderate lollipop hike from the Hidden Treasure trailhead near Blackhawk to the top of Maryland Mountain and return.

Directions to trailhead:  Drive up Clear Creek Canyon on US-6 for 12.5 miles, then stay right on CO-119 for another 8.0 miles to the Hidden Treasure Trailhead which is located on the right side of CO-119, 1 mile beyond the Gregory Street exit to Central City.  The drive should normally take about 35 minutes but may take longer because of construction along US-6.

Mileage Reimbursement:  $12.30 divided by number of passengers (including driver)

Hike Description:  From the trailhead we will climb to the top of Maryland Mountain on the Historic Gilpin Tramway, Gilpin Valley and Easy Money trails.  After a brief lunch at the summit.  We will descend the Summit (hiker only) trail and return to the parking lot on the Tramway trail.

In addition to the 10 essentials, please bring rain gear, trekking poles, plenty of water and food for a snack at the top of Maryland Mountain. 

 We will meet at the CMC Building Parking Lot at 7:45 am for an 8:00 am departure.
