RMOTHG Trip – Abyss Lake TH - Abyss Lake Trail

This is an out-and-back 4.5 mile / 661 ft elevation route that starts at the Abyss Lake Trailhead/Parking Lot. The trailhead sits in Geneva Park where moose sightings are frequent and there is a gorgeous view of several high peaks across the valley to the NW. The trail parallels Scott Gomer Creek going gradually uphill to the 1st bridge. The meadow here has beautiful views of the South ridge of Mount Bierstadt – a perfect lunch spot and turn-around.
